Privacy Policy

Overview

Chorded is a music composition and chord exploration app provided by onChord. Chorded does not require an account. The app does not collect personal information for advertising or analytics, and it does not send your compositions or app settings to servers operated by onChord.

Information stored on your device

Chorded stores your selected instrument and composition settings, including chord progressions, tempo, and meter, locally on your device so they are available when you use the app. Chorded does not provide an account-based sync service. Your device's backup settings may include app data.

Files you choose to import or export

You can choose a text file to import a chord progression and export progression text or a MIDI file. These actions use the iOS document picker. Chorded accesses the file you select and the destination you choose; the app does not upload those files to onChord.

If you choose a cloud or third-party file provider, that provider may process or store the file under its own terms and privacy policy.

Audio and permissions

Chorded generates piano and guitar playback on your device. It does not record audio or access the microphone.

Emails to support

If you contact support, onChord receives the email address and the message you send, along with any information you choose to include. This information is used to respond to your request and provide support. Please do not include sensitive information in your message. Your email provider may also process the message under its own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Chorded does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not ask users to provide personal information to use its music features.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the app's features or data practices change. The latest version and its effective date will be posted on this page.
